Constable Tinago Dube stationed at ZRP Chingondo was arrested for stock theft on the 17th of July.
A police internal communication revealed that the complainant, Maona Chipeta penned her 6 goats and went to sleep.

She phoned her neighbour, Challenge Maturure.
The two accompanied each other to the goat pen and on arrival they noticed that the entrance into the goat pen was open and 2 goats were missing.
Goat sounds were heard from a distance and made a follow up to where the sound was coming from.
They saw Dube holding stolen goats by their legs in the bush.
Dube tried to hide behind a small tree and then ran away after realising that he had been noticed.
The police officer was pursued after and arrested.
Constable Dube was brought to ZRP Chingondo where scene was attended and indications were done.
Shoe prints matching shoes worn by Constable Dube were noticed and the same shoe prints were also found along spoors made by the goats.
